Enjoy holidays by the waterside

Discover charming riverside villages such as Saint-Savinien-sur-Charente or Tonnay-Boutonne on the banks of the Charente or its tributary, the Boutonne.

In the past, our rivers were means of transporting merchandise: wood, stone, paper, gunpowder or eau-de-vie but today, they are home to pleasure-boats.  You can take a trip in an electric boat or try canoeing. You gain a different view of the scenery and local buildings of note; meandering along the waterside, in communion with nature, is a fine way to enjoy a refreshing break.

Fishing, swimming in fresh water, dangling your feet in the water … a wide range of waterside activities is yours.
