Le Quart d'Écu Raconte Puy du Lac
Step back in time to a century of rural life in Saintonge with Emma and Antoni. Over 220 volunteers bring traditions, horses and vintage vehicles to life in a spectacular evening show. Entertainment in the village from 3.30 pm, a Charente-style meal at 7 pm, followed by the show at 9.30 pm. Le Quart d’Écu presents Puy-du-Lac 2026 – Sound and Light Show Experience a grand open-air historical spectacle retracing a century of rural life in Saintonge. Through the love story of Emma and Antoni, young farmers deeply attached to their land, the show brings to life the seasons, traditions, joys and hardships that have shaped village life, right up to the Puy-du-Lac of today. Performed by over 220 volunteers, this immersive show combines theatre, horses, vintage vehicles, living scenery and emotion as night falls. A human and collective adventure brought to life all year round by enthusiasts. Before the show: the village of yesteryear (opens at 3.30 pm) Extend the experience by arriving early to stroll through the village of entertainment: - demonstrations of traditional crafts (lace-making, metalwork, sewing, rope-making…) - exhibition of old and new equipment (tractors, cars, agricultural tools, etc.) - horse-drawn carriage rides, a classroom from days gone by, a stage and a traditional open-air café atmosphere - local produce, bread baked on site, honey, refreshments and fast food Charente-style meal (booking required) At 7pm, enjoy a convivial meal before the show: melon, country ham and Pineau – braised ham and mojhettes – goat’s cheese – fruit salad – Charente galette – coffee (wine not included).
