Located in the heart of the Royal Abbey, the Saint-Jean-d'Angély Micro-Folie has four spaces making culture accessible to all. All year round, a rich cultural programme is offered through flash visits, workshops and events. Due to the heatwave, Micro-Folie will be open on Friday 10 July from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and will be closed on Saturday 10 July 2026. The Micro-Folie project, supported by the Ministry of Culture and coordinated by La Villette, brings together prestigious French and international cultural institutions such as the Louvre Museum, the Palace of Versailles, the Opéra Garnier, the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City and Schönbrunn Palace. Its aim? To make culture accessible to everyone, throughout France, by showcasing works from all artistic disciplines and all periods. As part of a network of over 200 Micro-Folies, Saint-Jean-d’Angély hosts this project at the heart of the Royal Abbey, in a welcoming and innovative space. Four modules are on offer: Digital Museum Immerse yourself in hundreds of works from the world’s greatest museums, projected onto a large screen. Using interactive tablets, explore, learn, play and take part in quick tours to enrich your artistic discovery. ️ FabLab A creative and fabrication space equipped with 3D printers, a Cricut and a screen-printing machine. Take part in the Récup’Art workshops to recycle, tinker and bring your ideas to life through useful or artistic objects. ️ Virtual Reality Enjoy immersive 360° experiences using VR headsets: documentaries, shows, films or journeys inside the artworks… A different perspective on culture, one that’s more sensory and vivid. Performance Space A venue for creative expression and cultural exchange, hosting exhibitions, shows and events throughout the year. A varied programme catering to all audiences is on offer.
