La Fontaine de Saint-Savin
La Fontaine de Saint-Savin
The church of Saint-Savin and the priory house, which stood on a hill now known as the hill of Saint-Savin, were completely destroyed. Tradition has it that there was once a convent on this site, and at the foot of this hill lies the "Fountain of Saint Savin", which was restored in 1864. The church and priory were destroyed in the 16th or 17th century, probably during a battle against the Lord of Taillebourg.
