The commune of Les Touches de Périgny has a rich heritage, which is only visible once you leave the main roads. Terre Saine, Natura 2000 and Villes et Villages Fleuris (Towns and Villages in Bloom) are just some of the ways in which the local fauna, flora and built heritage are protected. The concentration of beehives in the commune, with 83 of them, is unique in France. At the beginning of the 11th century, monks made a major contribution to channelling the River Antenne. Ten water mills and a dozen windmills on the hillsides were built on the river.
