église Asnières-La-Giraud

Français

Built in the 12th century, Saint-Médard church is one of the main historic sites in Asnières la Giraud. All that remains of this building is the chevet wall and three Romanesque windows. The church was restored in the 16th century and the facade remodelled in the 19th century. One of the remarkable features of the building remains its bell tower, visible from all around the village. This dominates the village, and stands at the height of the heart. It is also topped by an eight-sided pyramid roof with four slate pyramidions.
