Rediscovered in 1982, this circular temple was surrounded by a 2.12m-wide rubble stone wall. Its dimensions are similar to those of the Tour de Vesonne in Périgueux, which is 27m high. This is one of the most important temples in Roman Aquitaine, and the Virus, a Gallo-Roman village, grew up around it.
