Wiliaml is the 5th generation, and our daughters Adeline and Mathilde have joined the business. Adeline and Mathilde both tried their hand at different careers before joining the family estate. Initially, we grew cognac and mixed farming, but since the 3rd generation, we've also been making wine. That was after the phylloxera crisis, when we had to replant everything! How do you work? Since 2014, we've been HVE certified; at the time, we were a bit of a pioneer! Our philosophy is based on respect for the land, with no unnecessary treatments. We prefer to pay attention on a daily basis, based on observation and expertise. In the same spirit of respect, there are four of us living on the estate, and every lunchtime we have lunch together. Decisions are taken in consultation, and everyone's opinion counts! Similarly, in the shop, I explain to customers how to recycle their wine coolers and cardboard boxes! What does the new generation bring? Enthusiasm, a different vision, innovative ideas, a new style; it's a great way of moving forward!
