false William, Martine, Adeline and Mathilde, who share their passion for their work with us What is the history of this estate? It is, above all, a family story. William is the fifth generation, and our daughters Adeline and Mathilde have joined the business. Adeline and Mathilde both tried their hand at different careers before joining the family estate. Originally, we focused on cognac production and mixed farming, but since the third generation, we’ve also been making wine. This was after the phylloxera crisis, when we had to replant everything! How do you work? We’ve been HVE-certified since 2014; back then, we were something of pioneers! Our philosophy is based on respect for the land, without unnecessary treatments. We prefer a day-to-day approach based on observation and expertise. In keeping with this spirit of respect, there are four of us living on the estate; we have lunch together every day, decisions are made collectively, and everyone’s opinion counts! Similarly, in the shop, I explain to customers how to recycle their wine coolers and their cardboard boxes! What does the new generation bring to the table? Their enthusiasm, a different perspective, innovative ideas and a fresh style; it drives us forward – it’s great!
