L'école

The school stands on the site of some of the buildings that once made up Brizambourg Castle. The former gatehouse was converted into a simple two-storey house in 1843; then, in 1855, the buildings were sold to the local council to establish a boys’ school. Today, the mixed-sex school in Brizambourg comprises a main building housing the former teacher’s accommodation, now converted into a classroom and the municipal library. The adjoining building houses the school canteen, the toilets and the school’s administrative offices. In the courtyard are the covered playground, the school library and the classrooms for pupils from nursery to Year 6.
