Relax by the 10 x 5 m heated swimming pool on sun loungers or sofas, unwind in your private courtyard, enjoy activities in the games barn or on the lawn. 3 bedrooms (with 1 super king, 1 king and 3 single beds), one of which is on the ground floor and has an en suite bathroom, a comfortable lounge and a large, fully-equipped kitchen. The farmhouse was once the heart of a working farm in the beautiful village of Dampierre-sur-Boutonne. It dates back to the early 1800s. It is the largest of the three gites in La Petite Ferme Gites. The front door opens into a comfortable living room with sofa, chairs, TV, coffee tables and a small dining table with 6 chairs. This room opens onto the large fully equipped kitchen containing all the equipment and utensils you will need during your stay, including oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. There is a fireplace in the kitchen, which can be used in the cooler months. Next to the kitchen is the ground floor bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room. Stairs lead from the kitchen to the first floor where there are two further bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a super king-size bed, a single bed and a cot. The other has two single beds. All three bedrooms have wardrobes and drawers, bedside tables and bedside lamps. The second shower room is in the upstairs hallway. Directly outside the front door is a large, private, gravelled courtyard with a barbecue, table, chairs and parasol as well as a rattan sofa with cushions. It's a great place to eat, relax and socialise, with plenty of space for sun loungers. There is a lovely 10 x 5m heated swimming pool, recently refurbished, with plenty of sun loungers and parasols on the terrace and a seating area. The pool area is exposed to the sun all day. There is a large patio and pebbled area around the pool. There is also a large play barn to keep children and adults entertained. This is equipped with a pool table, table tennis, table football, darts and a number of board games, books and DADS. We also provide equipment that can be used on the lawn such as badminton, football, boules, mollky and frisbee. Excellent Wifi and English (Freeview) or French TV are available in the gite. We have 2 friendly cats living with us on site. Towels and bedding are provided, but we ask guests to provide their own pool/beach towels. There are laundry facilities on site including washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. La Ferme is one of three gites in La Petite Ferme Gites, the other two being La Grange (sleeps 2/4) and Fig Tree Cottage (sleeps 2). Each cottage has its own private terrace, dining area and barbecue and does not overlook the others, allowing you to feel isolated. Guests share the heated swimming pool, play barn, sun terraces, lawn, laundry room and car park. The three gîtes can be rented together if you wish. There is ample parking on site and the property has gates that can be closed during the day and are locked at night. We are happy to welcome bikers and cyclists and have a secure enclosed garage where you can store your bikes and motorbikes during your stay. We have a good working knowledge of local routes for running, walking, cycling and motorcycling which we will be happy to share with you if you wish. Access to all communal areas, including the 10 x 5m heated swimming pool, games barn (with table tennis, pool table, table football), sun terraces, lawn and laundry room with washing machine. The facilities are shared with La Petite Ferme Gites' two other gites, The Barn and Fig Tree Cottage, which sleep 2/4 and 2 people. Each cottage has its own private outdoor space for dining and relaxing. The three cottages at La Petite Ferme Gites can be rented together if you wish.
