Traditional, quiet and friendly campsite on the edge of the Saint Jean d'Angély leisure centre and its lake, 1km from the historic centre of the town and its shops. Our campsite with swimming pool covers 2.4 hectares of greenery and plane trees. Located on the banks of a lake on the Boutonne river, it is 1 km from the historic town centre and its amenities. Countryside and nature in the heart of a charming town. From the campsite, you can enjoy the heritage of the town of Saint Jean d'Angély by walking to the town centre and its monuments: a tour of the town will take you from the Middle Ages to the Art Deco period, via the Renaissance with its Royal Abbey, its Place du Pilori (one star in the Michelin guide), the Grosse Horloge tower, its half-timbered houses and its museum. You can explore the Vals de Saintonge and visit Saintes, Cognac, Rochefort, Île de Ré, Île d'Oléron, La Rochelle and Royan, as well as the Marais Poitevin to discover the charms of the blue and green Charente Maritime. Ideal for a relaxing holiday as a couple, with family or friends. Very quiet campsite. Our campsite is traditional, in keeping with the true values of camping, with tents, caravans and motorhomes! Friendliness is our motto. No entertainment. Snack bar open in the evening with a simple and varied menu, takeaway meals available. You can explore the town of Boutonne on a canoe trip. The campsite is located on the banks of the river and its lake, overlooking the leisure centre, which offers pedalos, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, a fitness trail, water park, mini golf, children's games and a restaurant with outdoor seating. The campsite rents bicycles and offers a number of routes, including the ‘Les Rives de Boutonne’ road bike route, which passes by the campsite and is accessible even to beginners. You can also enjoy the cultural offerings of Saint Jean d'Angély, with its cinema and three theatres, as well as its magnificent Eden theatre. Your holiday will be full of surprises and discoveries!
